San Diego PRIDE 2011

Pride for 2011  has been slated so its time for use to get together and figure out this years float, and get the ideas going early. Be sure to sign up to volunteer and do what you can to help make this the best pride ever. Post ideas or plan a meeting of the minds. Whatever it takes to get this ball a rollin!

Parade

The annual San Diego LGBT Pride Parade is the 5th largest in the United States attracting 150,000 cheering spectators and significant media participation.

Date: Saturday, July 16, 2011 
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: The parade begins at University Ave. and Normal Street, proceeds west on University Avenue to 6th Avenue, turns south on 6th Avenue, ending at Balboa Drive and Upas Street. 
Theme: "Pride Around The World"

Pride Festival

Located in Historic Balboa Park

Date:  Saturday July 16 and Sunday July 17 
Hours:  Saturday, 12 noon-10pm & Sunday, 11 am-8pm 
Location:  Marston Point, Balboa Park (6th & Laurel St.)

San Diego Pride's famous cultural Festival includes multiple stages of entertainment, more than 80 musicians, bands, comedy and dance performers, 300 participating vendor booths, an Art exhibit, cultural presentations, and great food!

Highlights include: 3 Stages, Farmers Market, Dance Floors, Beer Gardens, Wine Grotto, Cool Zone for those 55+, Leather Realm, Art of Pride (LGBT local artists), Youth Zone, Children's Garden, and over 300 vendors. We invite families, youth, and people of all ages to participate in the annual Pride Festival.

The San Diego Pride was definitely a fun event! Lots of colorful and cheerful people around, and everyone is having so much fun!
